Handcrafted by the T'Boli tribe in Lake Sebu, in the South of Philippines, these diamond-shaped earrings are light and versatile with a pattern that makes a bold statement in any (virtual!) room.
The diamond-shape is first carved from solid wood from the native Narra tree and dyed with plant-based black dye from the Amboina Pitch Tree, with a final design touch of etched stripes.
Tala is proudly named after the Goddess of Stars in T'boli folklore. The T'Boli tribe have lived in harmony with nature for centuries in the mountains of Davao, Philippines. Their vibrant traditional attire is decorated with patterns inspired by their dreams, nature & folk tales that have been passed down from generation to generation. Their musical culture embraces the sounds of nature with dance that mimics the actions of animals. They are known for their immaculate crafts, from weaving, beadwork to woodworking. Not only do these pieces support their livelihood, but preserves this traditional craftsmanship.
