We teamed up with our friends at Tea Drops for a DIY mini spa treatment and created a turmeric coconut face scrub that both exfoliates & hydrates with a golden glow to match your golden latte.
Turmeric is one of the best anti-inflammatory herbs that has as many benefits for your skin as well as in tea form for a boost of inner beauty. A holistic approach to target any dark spots, hyperpigmentation and brightens any dry areas.
Our centrifuged coconut oil hydrates your skin with lauric acid and is a deep cleanse as dirt, impurities and yes, even oil, sticks to that coconut oil. You double cleanse beauties out there know what we're talking about!
Honey is a natural humectant which helps your skin retain all that moisture from our coconut oil and is anti-bacterial that works with the turmeric to treat any blemishes and coconut oil for any itchy spots.
Sugar How You Get So Fly ok, lil' dance break over! Sugar will naturally exfoliate your skin without any fear of microbeads and toxins. Use coconut sugar (or any softer grain) for sensitive skin, here we used brown sugar for combination skin. If you have any oily areas, you can add a little salt for a coarser texture.
- Start by applying a hot towel over your face to open up your pores and finish with a cold towel to lock in the moisture!
- Be careful not to over exfoliate as stripping your natural oils from your face can lead to more oil production.
- If you'd like to thicken your scrub without adding more sugar, you can use arrowroot powder or flour. Add a little and stir for your perfect consistency.
- Use leftover scrub and mix with your choice of yoghurt for a relaxing + hydrating face mask. 2 in 1!
